FAQs

Are you currently accepting book proposals?

Not right now. Our authors are acquired through mutual acquaintances and personal relationship. As a boutique agency, we only represent a limited number of writers. Check back for further updates!

What types of projects do you represent?

While we care greatly about books (of course!), we’re more interested in the authors we’re representing as people first. We take Jesus’ words seriously that the “mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart”—and in this case, the pen (or keyboard) flows from what’s in the heart of our authors. That’s why, as we’re getting to know you, we’ll be excited about your project…but we’ll be more excited about you! Your love for Christ and the calling he’s given you in the world is of primary importance to us.

With that said, we only pitch to traditional Christian publishing houses, primarily in the nonfiction categories of Christian Living, Devotional, Lifestyle, and occasional Memoir. We also represent Christian fiction authors in certain sub-genres.

How do I write a book proposal?

With a lot of grit and tenacity. No, seriously—writing a book proposal is a unique literary achievement, as it combines a love of language, an understanding of marketing, and a keen grasp of sales. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it will help you get crystal clear about your book idea, purpose, and audience. Ann offers a book proposal class on the teaching side of Writing with Grace.

Don’t dilute the Gospel to sell your book; you’ll sell your soul instead.
